Identification of methanogenic anaerobic microorganisms
Methanogenic bacteria are very sensitive to several qualitative and quantitative factors in the effluent to the reactor. Operational spreadsheets, physical-chemical and microbiological analyses are essential to uncover operational disturbances that cause problems in biogas production and low efficiency in the removal of COD/BOD loads.
Microscopic monitoring of these bacteria results in highly important information for taking actions, which improve the efficiency in removing COD/BOD load and enhance methane generation.
