Genetica Bioscience joins forces with Archimed

Genetica Bioscience joins forces with Archimed to accelerate biotechnology growth in Brazil and worldwide. The partnership brings new investment for the next phase of Genetica's expansion while preserving team excellence, proprietary technology, and the close relationships that clients and partners trust.

Genetica Bioscience, a Brazilian leader in biotechnology for wastewater treatment, waste degradation, and other industrial segments, announced today a strategic partnership with Archimed, a global investment fund specializing in the healthcare and environmental sectors. Through this agreement, Archimed becomes a shareholder in the company alongside the founders, who remain in the executive leadership of operations.

Founded in 2005 and headquartered in Chapecó (SC), Genetica develops, manufactures, and markets biological solutions for industrial effluent treatment, biogas generation, and agribusiness. Over two decades, the company has vertically integrated its production chain—spanning from research and microorganism isolation to the development of proprietary formulations, delivering high-performance products to address environmental challenges. With a microbiological collection built over more than 20 years and rigorous treatment protocols, the company relies on a technical service model focused on a single goal: definitively resolving its clients' environmental liabilities.

"With Archimed joining us, we are prepared to take our next step faster and more comprehensively. We will maintain the pillars that underpin our success—our technical excellence and agility in solving client problems—while envisioning a strategic leap: greater investment in R&D, expanded industrial capacity, and the growth of our geographical presence, both domestically and abroad," emphasizes Ivan Sganderla, co-founder of Genetica.

"It is essential to highlight that, for our clients and partners, our routine of excellence remains unchanged. Our operations, contracts, support, and teams continue to operate with the same commitment as always. Our focus now is on sustainable market expansion, acting at the forefront of the environmental, biogas, and agribusiness sectors," states Anderson Bernardi, co-founder. "For our clients, the impact will be extremely positive. Joining forces with ARCHIMED will provide us with robust financial and strategic support, elevating our technological capabilities and taking our operations to a new level."

Genetica marks Archimed's first direct investment in Brazil and reinforces its presence in the Animal & Environmental Health sector, where bioremediation is a priority segment.

Archimed invested in Genetica following an in-depth analysis of the biological effluent treatment market, which identified Genetica as the undisputed leader. Archimed was attracted by the trust Genetica has earned among its clients, including some of Brazil's largest food producers. Genetica's proprietary technology, library of protocols that set it apart from other market players, and an integrated technical support model directly embedded in client operations were also key factors.

In partnership with the founders and management, Archimed will bring its operational and strategic know-how to accelerate Genetica's growth, including the launch of new products and Genetica's expansion into international markets.
